Sugar-less Tasteless Movie Mania
Ive returned to the world of blogs after a near 6 months- i think i lost momentum, but seeing as how my very enthusiastic friends are displaying their literary skills- i thought, Ah well why the hell not!!!
Im back in mother land for a spell of a few weeks and im glad to say i had a mini-reunion of sorts with some good friends... Two eligible bachelorettes and of course the 'most eligible' bachelor in these parts and no i did not very subtly try to match make- but i did throw the words eligible, bachelor, bachelorette(s) around a lot and well suffice it to say minus any romantic sparks i think there was a lot of bubbling chemistry of the friendship kind... with all of us proclaiming that we should do this (meet up) again!
The evening started off with two of my rather dear friends showed up at home and headed to the movies waiting for Mr. Eligible to come up with the free tickets. The much anticipated movie- Cheeni Kum, loosely translated is Sugar Less... and well what can i say a rather tasteless attempt at endorsing a May- December romance, with the legendary Amitabh Bacchan being reduced to a lustful horny teenager who at the age of '64' tarried with his ageless mother bawling ranting and of course panting needlessly, and of course ridiculously.
Cheeni kum was so dumb... Not just because of Big B's sorry excuse for a ponytail or Tabu's inexcusable accent and silly sobriquet for her overly mature amor! The characters had no depth- dialogue was crap and the plot took a bum numbing two hours and forty five minutes to peak and piddle!!
If watching the Big B run like a crazed monkey with his tail on fire between his 'mawmmy' and a rather symbolic Ashoka Pillar screaming Sexyy... i want Sexy Back...*puf puf* (would be enough to make Justin Timberlake regret ever having sung that song) is your thing then watch it by all means...
Devoid of common sense and decency this movie tops the list of my All Time Top Ten Crappy Movies Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
